Classes Offered

Yoga 1

60 min class. This class is appropriate for all, however, it is intended for those individuals that are new to yoga, beginners, or for those who just want to take it a little easier.  It is a slower paced class where you will explore basic yoga poses, alignment and positioning principles, pose explanations, mindfulness, awareness of breath and connection to movement.  Class will consist of varying gentle poses that are passive and active, seated, reclined and some standing to help bring flexibility and relaxation to mind and body.  Props used in class: blocks and strap/towel.  Classes starting again in the Fall of 2024 at Renaissance Academy in Kaysville.

Yoga 2  

60 min class. While this class is open to all, it is a faster paced class that gets your body moving. It is intended for those with yoga experience but also suitable for a beginner that is seeking to progress in their yoga practice. This class builds endurance, flexibility and strength, by exploring mindful movement with a focus on intentional breathing to connect mind, body and spirit. Class will consist of a combination of active, passive, standing, seated and reclined poses that will move between fluid movements, challenging poses, long holds, and ending class with relaxation, meditation, and stillness. The use of props are encouraged. Not being offered at this time, TBA.

Yin Yoga

60 min. class.  This class is designed to release tension and stress by holding poses up to 5 minutes, allowing the passive stretches to open connective tissues primarily in the hips, lower back and legs. Yin is the perfect type of yoga for those wishing to improve flexibility and reduce stress by balancing the Yang or active energy in the body through meditative, juicy, slow paced stretches. Taught at Divine Yoga Studios.

Meditation

30-60 mins class. Slow down and take a break from the stresses of life by learning to meditate. ​Learn instruction on the aspects of meditation and the basics of a meditation practice. Interactively learn body and mind techniques (movement, breath, attention, posture awareness, intention, mindfulness, etc.) that prepares you for meditation. Discussed will be the difficulties or obstacles that may affect the ability to concentrate and focus. Class will be taught in a seated posture with brief moments of standing. Class is intended for beginners through seasoned meditators.  Not being offered at this time, TBA.
